Derwenthaugh Training Centre is a purpose-built facility located at Derwenthaugh Marina, near to Newcastle and just two minutes’ drive from the A1.

We offer two suites of training/meeting rooms situated in adjacent buildings, for hire on a full day or half day basis. Positioned on the banks of the River Tyne in its own grounds, our training centre offers a quiet, secure working environment with ample free parking.

With the option of hiring the whole training centre, you can benefit from a fully catered space for use solely by your company or organisation. Both of our suites have internet access and a comprehensive range of audio-visual and presentation equipment.

Meldrum Suite

The Meldrum suite comprises an airy first floor space for up to 40 delegates and a flexible ground floor workshop area with drive-in access - perfect for practical training or hands-on demonstrations.

Victor Spong Suite

The Victor Spong Suite is a set of three first floor training/meeting rooms with full AV presentation facilities.

Over-night accommodation

In addition, we can offer dormitory-style sleeping facilities for up to 30 people in. Ideal for away days when all you need are simple facilities for a team-building event with a difference.
